South Carolina star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney might miss the Gamecocks' season opener with a shoulder injury, ABC Carolina is reporting. "If (Clowney's shoulder) doesn't come around real soon, we may play without him the first game...We've got a bunch of hurt guys who act like they are really hurt so right now they may not play," South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said. Clowney sat out of Saturday's scrimmage with a sore shoulder and didn't practice Monday. The Gamecocks open their season Aug. 29 at home against North Carolina.
