Per a report from Jason LaConfora of NFL.com, former Alabama running back, Trent Richardson, will not participate in combine drills due to a minor knee surgery. Citing a “league source,” LaConfora stated Richardson had a minor scope done approximately three weeks ago to alleviate minor discomfort brought on from a minor practice injury. Richardson helped Alabama win two national championships during his three-year tenure while winning the Doak Walker award for the nation’s top college football running back. Richardson is widely considered the best at his position coming into this year’s NFL draft and many mocks have him forecasted as a top-10 pick.
