As Georgia prepares for the capital one bowl showdown with Nebraska, coach Mark Richt can think back to his childhood as a Nebraska fan. Richt's parents were born in the same neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska. They grew up there before dating and eventually getting married. That's where Richt was born and where he was raised, spending his childhood rooting for the Huskers. "I grew up a Nebraska fan, no doubt," Richt said. Richt's Georgia team and Nebraska will face off in Orlando's Capital One Bowl game Jan. 1 at the Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ABC. The coaches for both teams gathered in Orlando Thursday to officially accept the bowl invitation. Even when Richt's family moved from the great plains of Nebraska to Colorado and eventually Boca Raton, he remained a loyal fan of the Scarlet and Cream.
