Crystal Ball Run:
After starting last season as the preseason #1, it's been all downhill for Lane Kiffin and his USC Trojans. SC finished last year 7-6 with a Sun Bowl loss to Georgia Tech and this year hasn't gone much better. The Trojans are 2-1 with an embarrassing home loss to Washington State already. Attendance is woeful and the "Fire Lane Kiffin" movement is already picking up steam.
And then... there's this.
USC published this hilariously awful Glee/West Side Story interpretation of their fight song yesterday. YouTube comments have already been disabled as fans from rival fanbases have had a field day with the video. Yea, this should finish off any cool factor USC once had in the days of Pete Carroll, Reggie Bush, and the days of Heisman winning quarterbacks.
At least Texas hasn't dropped this far... yet.
BEST OF MAXIM
Lane Kiffin is on the hot seat at USC. Here's a list of potential coaching candidates for the USC Trojans to replace Kiffin with should they part ways.
Lane Kiffin might not be the only horror roaming the sidelines at the Coliseum in the future. Trojan Fever, USC Athletics’ student loyalty group, has been trying to improve the gameday experience with games, free pizza, and giveaways. But now they might be going too far. To your right is a picture sent in an email to all USC students last week.
Yes, it seems that the majestic andalusian...
USC head coach Lane Kiffin discusses Tuesday's practice as the Trojans (2-1) prepare to host Utah State (2-1) on Saturday.
LOS ANGELES -- In the aftermath of the loss that featured one of the most abysmal offensive performances in school history, USC head coach Lane Kiffin wanted to remind everyone "the sky's not falling."
The Washington State defeat was one of the lowest of lows in program history. Regardless of what happens for the Trojans the rest of the way, that home loss will be...
Following an embarrassing 2012 and a rough start to 2013, do you think the USC Trojans should fire coach Lane Kiffin after the season?
LOS ANGELES Chuckie Keeton is a problem.
If your name is being mentioned in Heisman conversations and you play your ball in Logan, Utah, you have to be doing something right.
Keeton, the reigning Mountain West Player of the Week out of Utah State (2-1, 1-0 Mountain West), is bringing his accolades and all of his game to the Coliseum on Saturday and poses the toughest challenge...
College football is littered with these types of stories. But they only become a big deal when a school continues to struggle and the player involved becomes a superstar.
There are the well publicized stories of Mack Brown recruiting Robert Griffin III and Johnny Manziel as defensive backs. And the most recent story about Brown passing on FSU quarterback Jameis Winston, despite Winston...
The USC Trojans have released a terrible team rap anthem termed, "Trojan For Life." It's almost as bad as Lane Kiffin is as a coach. Fight On anyways, we guess.
Supwitchugirl produced "I Love My Ducks" in 2009, and four years later, students at USC produced this student rap video featuring the rap stylings of no one. It's lame and effeminate, exactly what you'd expect from a school that would endure three years of Lane Kiffin as head coach. Caution: the following video is rated A for Awkward.
The cast of "Glee...

LOS ANGELES -- When people ask Justin Davis how he does what he does on the football field when he's carrying the ball, he usually has no answer.
"I just let my body takeover, my natural instincts," Davis said. "If they ask me 'what did you do there?' I can't remember. I'm just running the ball. I just make my read and takeoff from there."...
It’s only Week 4 of the 2013 college football season, but coaching seats have become hot for big time programs. USC head coach Lane Kiffin’s seat cooled down just a bit in Week 3 against Boston College, but Mack Brown’s at Texas felt a significant increase in heat. The same was true for Nebraska’s Bo [...]
There is definitely no love lost in the UCLA-USC rivalry. Yesterday while doing an interview on ESPN UCLA WR Shaq Evans brought the heat in his comments about USC and how they have struggled recently:
“They’re struggling, it’s just awesome to see that,” Evans said in quotes provided by Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News. “I hate them, so I’m just loving it. I’ve...
