The Purdue Boilermakers' revolving door at quarterback will continue to spin in 2012 as much if not more than it did in 2011 due to the NCAA's decision Friday afternoon to grant fifth-year senior Robert Marve a sixth year of eligibility.
"I am extremely blessed by the NCAA's decision and proud to be at Purdue for another season," Marve said. "I'm looking forward to next year and winning games for the Boilermakers."
Marve played for the Miami (FL) Hurricanes as a freshman, but was forced to redshirt after sustaining injuries in a car accident. The standout quarterback started 11 games the following season, however he sat out two games due to suspensions.
The Florida native then transferred to Purdue and tore his anterior cruciate ligament during the season he was forced to sit out due to NCAA transfer rules in 2009.
