On Saturday, he provided it by making play after play ? and making sure sophomore wide receiver Percy Harvin had the ball in his hands.
Tebow threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two more scores, and Harvin lit up a young Tennessee defense with a dazzling touchdown run early in the fourth quarter and accounted for 195 yards of offense on 13 touches (nine rushes and four receptions). The Gators also received a huge boost from sophomore Brandon James, who got UF's day started off right with an 83-yard punt return for a touchdown in the opening minutes.
"Those three are very blessed individuals who play very hard," UF coach Urban Meyer said. "It's amazing. You look at Percy Harvin and you look at Brandon James. You watch film and you study high school players forever and you just want to see that great first step. They have it."
