If anybody had any questions about Evan Royster before today’s game, might have had their questions   answered.  Royster came into the game with only 110 yards in the first three games this season.  Today, he exploded for a career high 187 yards on 26 carries and made sure that there weren’t any doubts about who was the number one tail back for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Today’s game also puts him sixth on the All-time Penn State rushing list behind D.J. Dozier and only 138 yards behind Curt Warner for the all time leader in rushing yards. Despite having one fumble today, Royster looked in good form and looked like the back from a year ago. The other hero for the Nittany Lions was place kicker Collin Wagner. Wagner tied a Penn State record scoring 15 points himself. He went 5-6 on field goal attempts and really kept Penn State in the game when they were trailing. He alone, outscored the Owls 16-13.
