San Jose state will try to save their season in a game against Utah State Thursday night. The Spartans fall to 1-3, it is going to be tough for them to contend for a Mountain West championship. Utah State is looking to improve to 3-2 this week against the San Jose State Spartans. Chuckie Keeton is regarded as one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the nation as he has completed 71.5% of his passes. For Utah State to win he will have to have a huge game. The San Jose State defense is sketchy on its best day. That said Keeton should have a field day running and passing the football. I expect Keeton to account for at least three touchdowns this game. With 14 touchdowns and only 1 interception so far this season I am expecting big things from the junior quarterback on Thursday night. Opposite of Keeton is second year starter David Fales. David Fales led this San Jose State team to the Military Bowl last season. To be successful Thursday night Fales will need to run an efficient offense and keep Utah States offense off the field. Utah States defense is playing well this year so Fales and his receivers will have to be on point with their timing. I predict a big game from David, over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. I know that is asking a lot but with the taken he has in his receiving core the task should not be too challenging. I think Utah State ultimately comes out on top. I think Chuckie Keetons ability to create plays with his feet will send San Jose States defense into frenzy. I have confidence in Fales and the Spartan offense but I do not think they have enough talent in the other side if the football to win this game. I predict it will be close for three quarters but Utah State pulls away in the fourth to secure the win 41-24.
