Scout's Notebook: Florida State Miami  10/09/10 Written By: Kenny Franek The ACC’s biggest rivalry went in favor of the visiting Seminoles this past weekend. They took an early lead thanks to legs of Jermaine Thomas and never looked back. Florida State’s stout defense was the story of the game, though, holding the Hurricanes to just seven points in the first half. Here are the highlights and lowlights from players on both sides. Jacory Harris has been the poster child for inconsistency this season, and this game was no exception. On Miami’s opening series he showed solid recognition of man coverage and took off for his longest run of the season (29 yards).
