Scout's Notebook: Florida State Miami 10/09/10

The ACC’s biggest rivalry went in favor of the visiting Seminoles this past weekend. They took an early lead thanks to legs of Jermaine Thomas and never looked back. Florida State’s stout defense was the story of the game, though, holding the Hurricanes to just seven points in the first half. Here are the highlights and lowlights from players on both sides.
Jacory Harris has been the poster child for inconsistency this season, and this game was no exception. On Miami’s opening series he showed solid recognition of man coverage and took off for his longest run of the season (29 yards). Later on in the drive he rolled out of the pocket and displayed patience, waiting for his receiver to come toward the sideline before delivering a perfect strike
