The nation's two top-rated quarterbacks will square off in the SEC championship game.
No. 3 Georgia's Aaron Murray and No. 2 Alabama's AJ McCarron have played in plenty of big games - with mixed results.
McCarron takes the ''it's just another game'' approach when asked about the stakes of Saturday's showdown for a BCS title shot. Murray didn't speak with reporters this week.
They're the SEC's two winningest active quarterbacks. McCarron was MVP of the BCS national championship game and led the winning drive against LSU. He also threw his only two interceptions of the season a week later in the team's lone loss, to Texas A&M.
Murray was 11 of 31 passing in a loss to South Carolina and threw three first-half interceptions in a win over Florida.

What a week 13. Congratulations are in order for John Mitchell, who had the first perfect week of the year. Seth Doege’s unlikely interception-filled performance, worsened by some unfortunate tipped balls, spoiled my bid at a one-loss week, and with the season’s final set of games approaching we’re all vying for that .500 mark:

Here is AJ McCarron seen above with some blonde female earlier in the week…Hopefully he has his head on straight because I just put the house and farm on Alabama -7.-TO

Alabama lost their one game to a red hot QB, and now with one step closer to a chance to repeat as National Champions, they go up against a quarterback who may be more dangerous.
If you try and compare Texas A&M's and new Heisman flavor of the season Johnny “Football” Manziel to Alabama’s opponent on Saturday, Georgia’s Aaron Murray, you would be surprised that...
The Alabama fan who teabagged a drunken LSU fan after the 2012 BCS Championship game has been sentenced to two years in prison.
There’s no telling what kind of sh*t is going to be slung at Nick Saban this weekend, considering that the Crimson Tide are playing Georgia in Georgia. No matter what happens though we’re...

Georgia State head coach Bill Curry coached his last game on November 10, 2012 in a drubbing 51-7 loss to Maine. The final score of his final game does not necessarily represent the final impact of Curry's coaching and football career. Curry took the job at Georgia State 12 years after his last time as a head coach at Kentucky in 1996. He was also previously the head coach at...
One of the most important facets of the upcoming SEC Championship Game will be the Alabama running game. More specifically, if Georgia can slow down Alabama's two primary backs, Eddie Lacy and T. J. Yeldon, and get the Bulldog defense off the field by denying long drives.
Pay particular attention to Alabama's line play in this video.
Once upon the April mid, A-Day football on irons grid,
With McCarron, Yeldon, and Bell starring, K.M. swore
This team would be champing, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some ghosts gently rapping, rapping at the title’s door.
‘Stupid Echoes, that,’ I muttered, ‘yerning for that Irish ***** -
Only this, and nothing more.’
Who amoung us can remember the last Irish team...
As Alabama and Georgia prepare for Saturday’s Southeastern Conference Championship Game in Atlanta, for some reason, much more has been made of Alabama’s one loss than has been made of Georgia being beaten once this season. In fact, there has been more talk about the Crimson Tide’s one loss in 2011 than about the defeat suffered by the Bulldogs.
The SEC Championship game will give one team a birth in the BCS Championship game against Notre Dame. Will it be Alabama seeking its second consecutive title or will Georgia find a way to punch its ticket to the big dance. The game which will be played in the Georgia Dome is scheduled for a 4 p.m. EST kickoff and can be seen on CBS.

Bama-Georgia Ya’ll. Since many believe football barely exists outside the SEC, if you watch this you might not need to watch anymore football this week. (Sseriously though, you’d be an idiot if you did that.) Aaron Murray is super cereal about this game and issued his own personal media blackout. He’ll be fired up and ready [...]
I'm not telling you anything you don't already know but the last six BCS National Champions have come out of the SEC. Alabama and Georgia will meet in this years SEC Championship for the right to play Notre Dame to see if they can extend the SEC's streak to seven straight. Alabama comes into this game on a two game winning streak having just blown out their in-state rival...
If we have learned anything from the media this season, it is that Alabama has played one of the nation's toughest schedules while Georgia has played mostly FCS schools. Georgia has no business even being in a championship game with a school that plays as toughest schedule as Alabama, right?
