The Michigan State gymnastics team will host its annual "Flip for a Cure" meet when it welcomes Illinois State to East Lansing on Saturday (Jan. 28). The sixth annual Jan Howard Memorial Flip for a Cure Breast Cancer Awareness meet will be held in Jenison Field House with competition beginning at 7 p.m. (ET).

Michigan State fell on the road at Ferris State on Saturday, 4-3, and with its second one-goal loss of the weekend, was swept for the third time this season. MSU falls below .500 in CCHA play, at 8-9-3-2 and is 13-11-4 overall. Ferris State went 2-for-9 on the man advantage, the most opportunities and extra-man tallies allowed in a game by the Spartans since November.

North claims 23-13 Senior Bowl victory
Michigan State's Kirk Cousins and Wisconsin's Russell Wilson threw touchdown passes to lead the North to a 23-13 victory over the South in the Senior Bowl on Saturday.
Poole leads Michigan State women over No. 18 PSU (AP)
Porsche Poole scored a career-high 32 points and Michigan State rallied to beat No. 18 Penn State 83-77 on Sunday. Following a 28-point effort in a loss to Illinois, Poole was 10-for-15 from the field, including hitting three 3-pointers, for the Spartans (13-9, 5-4 Big Ten). She also had six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
W. Tennis. Women's Tennis Tops Eastern Michigan, 5-2
The Michigan State women's team notched their second win of the season over Eastern Michigan, 5-2, at home today. Despite losing the doubles point for the first time this season, five Spartans were able to secure singles wins, giving MSU the victory.

The game is also Alumni Day, as many former Spartans are back in town for the festivities. MSU defeated PSU 75-65 earlier this season in University Park.
