UGA freshman Sheldon Dawson will be interviewed by the NCAA on Friday, according to The Commercial Appeal. The interview is part of the ongoing investigation of recruiting practices in the Memphis area. There is no indication that Dawson himself is a focus of the investigation.
A former Memphis high school football player is set to interview with the NCAA on Friday and another former player met with the NCAA earlier this year, their prep coaches told The Commercial Appeal on Tuesday. The common topic appears to be Mississippi State.
Former Ridgeway High athlete Sheldon Dawson is set to interview with an NCAA representative on Friday, Ridgeway coach Duron Sutton said. Dawson signed with the University of Georgia in February and is listed as a cornerback.
