Stop the presses………UGA will win on Saturday.
Every single talking head except for a few uniformed media fools are picking Alabama. It’s magic, it is Nick Saban the master of the big game. Coach Mark Richt matching wits against Saban could never happen, at least in the media’s eye. Little doubt the Master Saban will have such a game plan that the tolerable Mark Richt will have to bow down before allowing the Dawgs to compete with such a disciplined team.
Stop the nonsense please.
UGA has all the weapons that Alabama does not. We have the speed, the quarterback that does more than dump off to the backs. We have the motivation of nine guys coming back for just this moment. We have talked about it all year, No Regrets. This is a UGA team of Destiny.
What about the offensive line?…..Alabama is so good and UGA has been inconsistent. Granted, true but the Alabama defensive line is not South Carolina’s, nor is it Florida’s. The Alabama offensive line had problems with Texas A&M. Since when has TAMU been known for their defensive line? Florida plowed through LSU, but Bama did not. Yet, UGA has shown against Florida they could move the ball. LSU ran on Bama……why not UGA? I mean honestly do you think for one minute Coach Friend an Alabama All-SEC guard will not whip our offensive line in shape for one game? I bet on Coach Friend.
The biggest fib on this game is the Special Teams. As inconsistent as we have been, Alabama has not been stellar either. Seven different players have returned punts for them and mostly due to fumbles. The dome plays tricks and lighting can affect the best punt returners. We on the other hand our seeing stellar Special Teams, albeit not many yardage from the punt returns. Collin Barber is unloading punts with over 5 sec hang times……and our kickoffs against Georgia Tech were deep in the end zone. I think the Special team play goes to Georgia.
Unlike what our blog friend David of “I bleed Crimson Red” said about us not having the most athletic defense backs, I totally disagree. We all know that Sanders Commings is the best boundary corner in the SEC, and Rambo and Williams make a deadly Safety team. Finally, Swann has been a shutdown corner against Matthews of Vandy and Hunter of Tennessee. This corner, Swann, can play with the best of them.
The move of Grantham to move Kwame to the nose and Jenkins outside has been brilliant. I feel sorry for Barrett Jones, moving Kwame from the middle without an additional blocker has been nearly impossible, and I have my doubts the “hyped one” can do it. This makes John Jenkins much more dangerous and we have seen how great Garrison Smith and Ray Drew are playing as well.
Hate to tell you this Alabama but the Linebackers at UGA are much better than Alabama’s. Tree is playing at a level unseen in the SEC for many years. Oh and there is also Jarvis Jones to contend with, and the disciplined Jordan Jenkins. Now add in the splash of how well Christian Robinson has been playing, the run stopper Amarlo Herrera and well you Bama have the perfect storm.
My fellow Leatherheads, I have to tell you, I made up my mind early in the season that Alabama did not scare me. It was our team UGA that scared me, thinking after the South Carolina debacle that we were, well falling back into 2008 mode. However, this team has responded and is outplaying every team in the Country.
Georgia is on a roll, the Dawgs have the Mojo workin'- Alabama will not stand in their way.
Georgia wins 19-13 and plays Notre Dame for the Championship game.

Mark Richt didn't like a reporter's question about him losing big games, and gave him a hard time about it in a back-and-forth.
There’s no telling what kind of sh*t is going to be slung at Nick Saban this weekend, considering that the Crimson Tide are playing Georgia in Georgia. No matter what happens though we’re...

The Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia is undergoing preparations for the SEC Championship Game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs. It was used last night for Thursday Night Football between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. It appears that Alabama’s locker room got the Nick Saban treatment. There is a giant picture of him and a huge Alabama Crimson Tide...
When fans and the media look at the Alabama/Georgia game, they assume Notre Dame will be playing Alabama in the title game. This assumption is correct and the head coaches are to blame.Mark Richt's laid back attitude leads to the Dawgs' choking in big games. Richt needs to create some sort of sense of urgency when they play on the grand stage. Here are some results...
At the beginning of the week, Alabama head coach Nick Saban said they'd "revisit" the decision to play Chris Black who had surgery on his shoulder in August and has just recently been medically cleared for contact. Black wants to play and his family supports the decision, so will we see him on the field in the Georgia Dome Saturday?
Alabama's Nick Saban and Georgia's Mark Richt spoke to reporters Friday afternoon before the SEC Championship game Saturday. Afterwards, the Crimson Tide took to the field for a short practice.
Mark Richt met with reporters Wednesday to discuss Georgia's upcoming game with Alabama. Check out the video below to see what he had to say.
ATLANTA The dry erase board lie right where Kenarious Gates kicked it: Face down, right next to the helmet he discarded and the chair he knocked over.
That board, along with its clones littered around Georgia's sideline, has become the calling card of Georgia victories this season, with written statements being held up for cameras and fans alike. It might have been the "...
Several of the BCS bowl games are set following the conference championship games that were played on Friday and Saturday. We know Alabama and Notre Dame will meet in the national championship game thanks to Bama’s win over Georgia (Nick Saban pictured above, still looking as dissatisfied as ever). We know that the Rose Bowl will be taking the Pac-12 (Stanford) and Big Ten (Wisconsin...
Nick Saban loves to equate a boxing match between two adept punchers as the scenario his team must endure for the inevitable test. Toughness, mental and physical, counts in the athletic arena. Alabama tasted the canvas many times falling behind a relentless Georgia team three times before the final bell concluded the gridiron slugfest.
In the BCS Standings they are No.2 and No.3. But for most observers, this is the national championship game.
Not since Florida and Alabama were 1 and 2 heading into the first week of December has an SEC Championship Game been as big. Either team, Alabama or Georgia, will be favored over Notre Dame.
But unlike previous SEC Championships, the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide are more than...
Alabama vs. Notre Dame. The BCS championship game couldn't get much bigger.
The Crimson Tide locked up a spot in the title game in Miami on Jan. 7 with a 32-28 victory over Georgia for the Southeastern Conference championship Saturday.
Sunday's selection show is just a formality.
The hype can begin now for what could be the most-watched BCS title game since the system...
Okay, we covered the mighty SEC Western Division yesterday and discussed how Alabama, LSU, and Texas A&M look to be the division powerhouses for years to come. Now, let’s do a State of the Division for the SEC East.GeorgiaIs Mark Richt finally permanently off the hot seat?? If we get tired of hearing about him being on the bubble in Athens, think what he and his coaches feel...
