What do Cordarrelle Patterson, Keith Marshall, Blake Jackson, Mark Beard and Dillon Lee all have in common? They are all what is called an “early enrollee” which means they report to campus soon after Jan, 2012, participate in the offseason workouts and the Spring game. So the next 2-3 weeks are going to be filled with exciting news, and with my most trusted muse, “the oracle of UGA V” firmly by my side, the predictions are for your enjoyment.
Of course we also have the Gala coming up this Friday, Saturday into Sunday. Huge recruiting event for us and later this week we will get the most current list of who is coming.
So packed we are with very busy times for UGA recruiting efforts, only good should come out of the next few weeks, and my predictions are my calling card, of course Socrates has a few for you.
The first to commit will be Tuesday at 2:45pm will be Keith Marshall, the all world running back for Millwood High School, NC Rated the #2 running back in America by ESPN and #1 runningback by 247 sports; is everything and more as a young man and a football player. He carries a 4.3 grade point average, loves his college football history, runs a 10.31 100m and runs a 4.17 40. People that is some serious speed, and combine that with good balance, cutting ability, vision and surprising power for this size, Keith is the complete person, the consummate athlete and will be a Bulldog on Tuesday.
Next up was the best TE we have seen on film all year, Blake Jackson the TE out of Scottsdale Community College, AZ. I like every part of his game, he is an accomplished blocker, catches the ball with soft hands (like Orson does), and can get you yards after the catch. Orson Charles if he turns pro, we should be in very capable hands with Blake in the Hybrid position. Add him with Jay Rome, and of course Arthur Lynch and recruit Ty Smith and once again we can call UGA “TE U”. By the way I do not know what time he is announcing Wednesday, I just know it is to the DAWGS.
I will hold off on the others till next week, maybe the most interesting of those for you in CordarrellePatterson and my regular readers know week to week Socrates has changed him opinion. Not based upon the situation at Tennessee, because it does not matter……I can honestly tell you now where Cordarrelle Patterson ends up…….but I will hold that thought……ok ok…..he picks the VOLUNTEERS, of course not, he picks GEORGIA.
Mark Beard, the JUCO OT from Coffeyville, Kansas JUCO is set to decide between UGA, Arkansas, West Virginia as to where he will play. He is set for the official visit likely the week of the 12th, and must decide by the 21st of December because the cutoff for JUCOs is that date to declare Early enrollment. All we were waiting for was Mark’s grades to offer, and he is fully qualified. Really one to watch for the next 15 days or so. We discussed Mark way back when we highlighted to JUCO OL players available, a very capable left tackle that has grown into 6”5” and 315 lbs. We will all hold our breathe on this one.
Dillon Lee, has been written about by more recruiting gurus that maybe any other player in the past year. As you are aware Dillon’s family are all Bulldogs, his brother Dallas Lee is one of our offensive Lineman. The whole family are quite active in the Georgia Bulldog Club, and attend the games regularly. Some folks are very concerned about the situation of us not offering Dillion. When Belin was the inside linebacker coach at UGA, he recruited other players over Dillion, yet Lilly wanted Lee to become a TE. In fact we looked at him as a TE, until Coach Olivadotti came in (which if recall was just before Feb, 1, 2011). You also must remember the previous recruiting coordinator dropped the ball on a number of recruits, and to me he was just as responsible or more for the Lee situation. By the time Olivadotti settled into the job, Dillon Lee who was being courted by Kirby Smart to play at Alabama gave his commit to the Red Tide. Coach Olivadotti, Coach Richt, etc. began soon after to target Lee as an inside linebacker, and it has been an uphill battle ever since. We have made up a whole lotta ground and seem to be giving Dillon Lee a lot to think about. Let me tell, the naysayers out there that think we should quit trying to get Dillon, well that is not in our DNA. If Georgia wants you, they will recruit you up to the last minute before the faxed LOI comes in on NSD. In recruiting, you NEVER quit. Lee has always maintained he is a firm commitment to Alabama, but on the inside of Butts Meyer, he has become the top target for UGA.
What I view as key to having a chance for Dillon decommit to Alabama, is for Dillon to look at the depth chart at UGA for inside backers. I also think Dillon should take into account the difference in the treatment of players in Alabama’s program vs. Georgia’s. Dillon is a bright young man, but at Alabama they will ship you out on the next rail, if you are viewed as a player that cannot help the team. Hate to say it, but would Saban have treated his brother as well as Georgia has? Think we all know the answer to that question. We need some inside backers, especially with Turene still in limbo, so the recruitment is very important the Coach O and the staff, and Lee’s decision, equally so.
This is my view of it, if indeed and I think he will, take an official to UGA, we will have a chance. If not he firmly stays with the choice of Alabama. Final note, we do not know if he is coming to the GALA as Buford (a strong possibility) would have a game on that Friday night, of course he could come Saturday. I hope for the GALA visit, he takes an unofficial visit and he takes his official so after, so he may be certain of whatever decision he makes. I must hold off on any predictions for Dillion till later.
Well that is all the Muse of UGA V has channeled to me today. Smart Muse he is and one fine pooch, I say. GATA ALWAYS

Call it the dumbest internet rumor of the day. Someone on Twitter claimed that Georgia head football coach Mark Richt would be interviewing for the vacant head coaching position at Texas A&M. This "news" made Aggie hearts go all aflutter online, dreaming of finally getting a quality coach.
Mind you, this rumor is full of more BS than Bevo's stall over at Texas...

Before the 2011 season began, many Georgia fans were hoping that freshman running back Isaiah Crowell would serve as the impetus for getting a sputtering Bulldog offense back on track. Now Crowell is getting a good part of the blame after the Bulldogs' second-half collapse to LSU in the SEC championship game.

Mark Richt says he is expecting ''a competitive situation'' at tailback as No. 18 Georgia has almost a month to prepare for its Outback Bowl game against Michigan State.
Richt said Monday former starter Richard Samuel, who has missed four games following surgery on his left ankle, should return for the Jan. 2 bowl game in Tampa.

By CHARLES ODUMATLANTA (AP) -- Mark Richt said Monday he is opening the competition at tailback as No. 18 Georgia has almost a month to prepare for its Outback Bowl game against No. 12 Michigan State.
The bowl game will bring an end to a season of uncertainty at tailback for the Bulldogs. Georgia has had four starters through the season, thanks to injuries and suspensions.
PGA Tour Q-School isn't a team game by any means ... but if it was, the Georgia Bulldogs would have won in a rout.
A serious rout. With 25 full-time spots up for grabs at Q-School, four former University of Georgia golfers walked away with cards to the PGA Tour, including Brendon Todd, who finished at 17-under to take home medalist honors.

No. 1 LSU Tigers withstood a 10-0 first quarter deficit to just b**** slap No. 14 Georgia 42-10 in the Georgia Dome Saturday. So now that the BCS Debate is over who will LSU play….who cares. LSU is the best team hands down. The main reason LSU won Saturday was not the talent of the South, in my opinion it’s this POS Georgia Hype Video made by some students. Check it out can’t...
