This week’s college football odds have South Carolina listed as a 14-point home favorite for their tilt against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. The Gamecocks (7-2, 5-2) have been off since escaping against lowly Tennessee, 38-35, on Oct. 27. That game was marred by the loss of running back Marcus Lattimore—South Carolina’s best player and emotional leader—to a devastating knee-injury at the end of the first half. The Gamecocks never seemed to fully get over that development against the Vols as they nearly gave up a two-touchdown lead in the fourth quarter. Arkansas (4-5, 2-3)  entered the season as a top-10 team with high expectations, but a 1-4 start to the season torpedoed any chance the Razorbacks had of an SEC title run. They have managed to bounce-back by winning three of their last four games, which leaves them still in the running for a post-season bowl berth.
