AUBURN, AL - SEPTEMBER 25: Backup quarterback Connor Shaw of the South Carolina Gamecocks looks to pass against the Auburn Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium on September 25, 2010 in Auburn, Alabama. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)
South Carolina starting quarterback Connor Shaw reinjured his left foot in the early first quarter of the  Gamecocks' 24-7 win over Wofford. "Yeah, I'm a little banged up and retwisted it in the first series (of the game Saturday)," Shaw said. "I was able to finish strong, but it bothered me throughout the game." He completed 16 of his 21 passes for 122 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but he didn't have a completion over 15 yards the entire game. Shaw also ran the ball 10 times on his bum foot but totaled just 18 yards; his long of the day was 11 yards. Shaw was sacked four times and seemed to struggle getting on track early in the game." The injury will reportedly not keep Shaw from missing the Gamecocks' regular season-ending  game against in-state rival Clemson. (via The Anderson Independent Mail)
