Southern Miss prepares for Navy's triple option

But no matter the amount of off-the-field preparation, Golden Eagles' coach Larry Fedora knows his defense is in for a rude awakening on Saturday. Southern Miss travels to face Navy on Saturday in a game that will feature a marked contrast in style. While the Golden Eagles use the spread, Navy goes with the old-school triple option. Navy is charged with stopping a Southern Miss offense that gained a school-record 654 yards in a win over Rice last weekend. The Midshipmen are coming off an emotional overtime loss to Air Force.
