Michigan State has moved into the top 10 following its easy victory over Central Michigan this weekend.
The Spartans are No. 10 in the new AP poll, moving up one spot a day after beating Central Michigan 41-7. Michigan State made the trip of about 70 miles to play the Chippewas on the road, and although there were plenty of Spartans fans in attendance, Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said it was a legitimately challenging environment for his players.
Now the Spartans will prepare for a major test next weekend, when they host Notre Dame - a team that handed Michigan State one of its three losses last season.
