YPSILANTI, Mich. —- Whew what a storm!
Now nieces and nephews Saturday’s night storm felt like and looked liked something straight out of a Hollywood production but the officials at Eastern Michigan University did the right thing and postponed the 41-9 victory over Howard University at the friendliest football stadium in the Mid-American Conference and just happens to be the home of the Eastern Michigan University Eagles-Rynearson Stadium.
The opening kickoff delayed for 17 hours but Sunday September 4, 2011 at noon and in front 3,563 Eagle football fans under the bright sunshine and blue sky were delighted with the win against Howard University.
“I am one of the few guys that was around here for our last home win,” senior offensive lineman Bridger Buche said after the game. “It is great to see the young guys that have come in and put so much work in and the coaches – this is their first home win too – I am happy for everybody. This is going to be a fun year.”
