Many experts predicted combined point totals of over 100 in this year's New Era Pinstripe Bowl between Syracuse and West Virginia.  There was just one problem: only one offense showed up.  The Orange dominated from start to finish, blasting the Mountaineers, 38-14, at a snowy Yankee Stadium.  Conditions were a factor, but let's keep in mind: both teams are at the same disadvantage.  The Orange got huge production from their two running backs, Prince-Tyson Gulley and Jerome Smith.  Gulley tallied 265 total yards (215 rushing) and three scores (2 rush).  Smith, the more powerful back, carried the ball 29 times for 158 yards.  Any way you slice it, West Virginia was schooled in this one.  In this slide show, I'll tell you three things we learned from the 2012 Pinstripe Bowl.  Topics include:What's to make of West Virginia? How bad is the Mountaineers' defense? Can Syracuse compete in the ACC in 2013 and beyond?Click below to find out!
