In what can only be considered a win-win for both parties involved, TCU will join the Big East in 2012 in all sports. The Horned Frogs will join the BCS automatic qualifying conference after the 2011 season, giving the Big East nine football schools. With an invitation extended to Villanova to join in football as well, number 10 might not be far behind. And once you get to 10, well, 12 might be in the future.For TCU, the move is a good one which gives them a chance to automatically qualify for a BCS bowl if they can win the Big East title – something that they will instantly have a shot to do. It also might give them a clearer path to a possible National Championship berth. Going undefeated in the Mountain West or other non-automatic qualifying conferences has proved inadequate in recent years.
