Rose Bowl rematch turned down

The thought of a Rose Bowl rematch between TCU and Wisconsin is certainly an exciting one. Unfortunately for us, it will have to wait. A 3rd party contacted TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte on the possibility of playing at Wisconsin to open next season. The caveat was the fact that it would be a one-time thing and not a home-and home. TCU wasn’t thrilled with this and turned it down rather quickly. A lathered up (and likely red-faced) Bo Pelini had this to say on not getting his shot against TCU. “I would definitely love the challenge to play them again,” Bielema said. “And really, I thought it would be a great sell with our folks. Unfortunately, TCU wasn’t as excited about the matchup. Don’t let his comments fool you, as I really can’t blame TCU for turning down this particular situation. Although Wisconsin can spin this anyway they wish, the fact that they were unwilling to make the trip south for a road game is a deal breaker...
