Both teams with a 2-0 record for the season, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be hosting the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 49-21 win against Middle Tennessee State on Saturday night. They played in front of a record crowd at MTSU’s Stadium. At one point leading by 35 points (42-7), Tech was just four yards shy of 600 offensively.
Kansas too is coming off a thrilling victory, as they took down Northern Illinois 45-42. Sophomore quarterback Jordan Webb completed a six-yard TD pass to junior D.J. Beshears with 14 seconds remaining to give the Jayhawks back-to-back wins for the first time under second year coach Turner Gill. Webb threw three touchdown passes against Georgia Tech last season.
While both teams played hard last week, and are currently undefeated, their stats don’t line up.
After only two games, the Yellow Jackets have put up 112 points, the Jayhawks have only 87. The Yellow Jackets lead all FBS teams in passing efficiency, 315.92, and...
