Steve Greenberg, a college football writer for the Sporting News was in Louisville yesterday afternoon and spoke with Charlie Strong and some of his players. As expected, the rumor of Arkansas being interested in Charlie Strong as their next head coach was mentioned. Cardinal quarterback Teddy Bridgewater doesn’t seem to be too concerned about Strong leaving anytime soon.
“He said he’ll be here my whole 4 years. So far he’s been true to his word,” Bridgewater told Greenberg. “I continue to believe him that he will not take any job.”
It’s one thing for fans to hear these rumors, but when players start to hear things I imagine it’s probably something that is hard for them not to be concerned about. Strong mentioned this when speaking with Greenberg.
