Tennessee’s DE Darrington Sentimore has pretty much guaranteed a win against the Florida Gators. Florida travels to Knoxville this weekend to face a Tennessee team that is clicking on all cylinders.
“I think people want to wait and see how we do against Florida,” Tennessee defensive end  said. “But I’m here to tell them that we’re going to beat them. “I still think people want to see us win some more games so they can say Tennessee’s back, you know?” Sentimore said. “I don’t have a problem with that. We’ve got to prove them wrong. We’ve to create an identity so they’ll say, ‘Yeah, they’re back. That’s the Tennessee we know.’”
The Vols are lead by quarterback Tyler Bray, who is coming off of back-to-back 300 yard passing games. With the return of Bray this season, Derek Dooley has a chance at saving his job. At this point in the season Dooley isn’t on our hot seat, but should the Vols slip just a little bit he’ll move back to where he was prior to such a great start to the season. Bray’s primary target Justin Hunter is also having a spectacular season. Hunter has a total of 219 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns this season helping propel the Vols to the 9th ranked passing attack in the country. Hunter had the following to say about his injury last season against the Gators:
“I was real angry,” Hunter said. “I just wanted to get back (this) year, work hard and try to tear them up.”
The Gators are coming off of a close win at Texas A&M where they showed they can make major adjustments at half and win games late. This will be a tough test for both Dooley and Muschamp and both Gator fans and Vols fans will accept nothing short of a W. Tennessee is currently ranked 25th overall in the Associated Press poll. This is their first ranking since 2008. [HT SaturdayDownSouth]
