This Cameron will probably not be so lucky.Cameron Clear, a sophomore tight end for Tennessee was dismissed from the team on Friday by Derek Dooley. On Tuesday Clear had been arrested after he was spotted using a stolen laptop in front of Neyland Stadium. He was later officially charged with theft of somewhere between $1,000 and $10.000. Using the stolen laptop in front of the stadium was a pretty stupid idea but at least he didn’t throw it out of a window.Dooley said it hurts anytime a player is dismissed but there’s times when a player does something that ends his privilege of being part of the team…Then he probably compared dismissing Clear to Hitler dismissing Josef Wagner from the Nazi party. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee coach Derek Dooley has dismissed sophomore tight end Cameron Clear from the team following his arrest on a theft charge.
Dooley suspended Clear indefinitely Wednesday to collect information on the tight end's arrest Tuesday on a charge of theft between 1,000 and 10,000. Dooley announced Clear's dismissal Friday.
