Tennessee tight end Cameron Clear has been arrested by University of Tennessee police on a charge of felony theft.
"Clear, 19, of Memphis, was booked into the Knox County Detention
Facility on a charge of theft of more than $1,000, according to jail
logs. As of Tuesday evening, he was being held in lieu of $2,500 bond.
"We are aware of an incident involving Cameron and are in the process
of gathering the facts," Jimmy Stanton, UT's associate athletic
director for communications, said Tuesday night."
According to ESPN, the charge relates to an investigation of thefts on the Tennessee campus involving "personal computers belonging to Tennessee football players." This is definitely something that Vols head coach Derek Dooley probably didn't need to hear right now.
