By now you’ve heard that a 45-year-old fan died at last night’s Texans-Vikings game after falling off an escalator. That got us thinking about this preseason at Reliant Stadium and whether the fan falling off the escalator was an isolated incident or are the fans possibly out of control. A few searches later and we’re watching Texans fans fighting USC fans during a 49ers game on August 18.
This is a helluva melee and even includes a kid throwing punches.
Watch the guy wearing #80 very closely. He seems to be minding his business and is suddenly getting curb stomped by two homeboys and a little USC fan. We’ve seen plenty of Texans’ fan fight videos over the years (one-punch KO, fighting Cowboys’ fan, and even a Texans-Cowboys catfight) yet nothing compares to Little Barkley punching a grown man.
It’s not even a competition, this brawl wins the 2012 best preseason fan fight award. Congrats, Houston.

Is J-Rupe related to Mitch Albom?
This, right here, is a very young J-Rupe. See, the thing about J-Rupe is that he is a goddamn karate icon. Look at that mug. That mug wins karate championships. This year’s Trojan squad enters the season with the motto “Unfinished Business,” alluding to, of course, the sanctions that made them unable to compete for a National Championship title the past two years. Finally free of that albatross, USC looks to make a run for the title with just 75 scholarship players on the team, another remnant of the NCAA sanctions.

Our number one ranked team may come as no surprise to many. The USC Trojans are just ending a two-year probation period where they weren’t allowed to play in the Pac 12 championship game or a bowl game. While it has had an affect on their depth, the Trojans are loaded and in the questionable Pac 12 they should do just fine.
