Longhorn 200x300 Texas A&M fans deform living Texas Longhorn

We’re all familiar with the “Down Horns” hand signal that teams not so fond of the Texas Longhorns use to show their distaste.

Never in a million years did I think this would translate into real life.

As you can see in the picture above, a group of unnamed Texas A&M supporters have apparently raised a living Texas Longhorn and gradually bent its horns downward over time to resemble what you see.

This is just flat out ridiculous, and not to mention a blatant act of animal cruelty.

A post, including the picture, originally surfaced on a Texas A&M fans board, and was promptly pulled, but not before it was screen grabbed by a Texas fan and submitted to the university’s magazine, the Alcalde.

As difficult as it may be to find out whom the responsible parties are, and where this animal is so it can be saved, one can only hope this comes to be.

I do my best to stay impartial and professional when it comes to this rivalry, but this story has my blood boiling since it deals with a defenseless animal.

These people should be ashamed of themselves, regardless of who their favorite team is.

Texas A&M 61, Kansas 7

Ryan Tannehill threw for three touchdowns, Cyrus Gray ran for three more and Texas A&M got an easy 61-7 win over mistake-prone Kansas on Saturday. The victory breaks a three-game skid by the Aggies and makes them eligible for a bowl game. It extends the Jayhawks' Big 12 conference losing streak to 11 games, with their last win coming against Colorado on Nov. 6, 2010. The...

Klein and No. 16 K-State survive Texas, 17-13

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Collin Klein ran for one touchdown and passed for another and No. 16 Kansas State overcame a suffocating Texas defense for a 17-13 win Saturday night. Klein was sacked five times and Kansas State (9-2, 6-2 Big 12) managed just 121 total yards, but still pulled out the win behind Klein's 16-yard touchdown pass to Chris Harper with 9 seconds left in the first...

WTH Moments – Texas at Missouri

WTH?! (What the Heck?) moments are attempts to find the memorable and the off-beat perspective on Longhorns sports. Here are some interesting moments from the Texas’ game against the Tigers. Pre-Game (15:00) WTH SEC?! Hey SEC… did you really get a look at what you just invited to the party. A stadium that has a hill set aside for MU Fans to lay blankets and pillows...

Aggies destroy Kansas, 61-7

Jeff Fuller could be limited today for Texas A&M

It shouldn’t matter too much since Texas A&M is playing Kansas today — although it is A&M and Kansas almost pulled off the upset against Baylor — but wide receiver Jeff Fuller likely won’t start for the Aggies, according to a tweet from TexAgs.com. No reason was given, but Fuller’s been dealing nagging injuries all…

Texas-Kansas State Preview

Vegas makes money for a reason. They're smart. Smarter than most people that bet on sports. Conventional wisdom rarely defies Vegas and that has been no different in Texas' last two games. Two weeks removed from a monumental upset on the road against Oklahoma, Texas Tech visited Austin as a 12-point underdog. Many believed that the Red Raiders had a good chance to take...
