Kyle Field is undergoing a huge makeover this offseason and part of what made it possible can be attributed to the fame of Johnny Manziel.Texas A&M is currently doing a $450 million overhaul of its stadium and at least one regent believes the finished product should be named in honor of the ex-Aggies quarterback. This regent is none other than Jim Schwertner and he believes the university would not have raised the money for the renovation so easily if not for the wild success and popularity of Manziel.A&M regent Jim Schwertner above all thanked Johnny Manziel for getting the money raised for the Kyle redo in two months— Brent Zwerneman (@BrentZwerneman) May 12, 2014A&M regent Jim Schwertner said he's dead serious about wanting Kyle named: Kyle Field: The House that Johnny Built.— Brent Zwerneman (@BrentZwerneman) May 12, 2014I followed up with a question to regent Jim Schwertner asking if he was serious, just to make sure. He was.— Brent Zwerneman (@BrentZwerneman) May 12, 2014Schwertner also noted that the final decision won't be entirely up to him though. Hey, if Manziel can somehow manage to turn around the lowly Browns, it may help his cause in College Station. The renovations are expected to be complete in 2015 and will give Kyle Field the highest capacity of any stadium in the SEC (102,500). The program will be play in a partially completed stadium for the 2014 campaign.Via For the Win
