The Florida Classic: An HBCU Match-Up and So Much More

On Saturday, I was able to witness something that I have never felt before as a scout. I was able to not only see my first game live as a scout but I was able to watch the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Florida Classic between Bethune-Cookman Wildcats and Florida A&M Rattlers. From my perspective it was better than I could have imagined, I have seen Classic games before played on television but if you have never went to a Classic game, you are missing out. The Citrus Bowl of Orlando did an awesome job this weekend preparing the game, and the field looked amazing. The atmosphere is something more than a person can imagine. HBCU schools all over the nation have Classic games which are fun to watch and are so competitive, but this one was amazing.
