Edwin Valero may be the world's best fighter. He has fought 23 fights and knocked out all 23 opponents. A shocking 19 of those fights have occurred in the first round. He is a Super Featherweight who punches like a heavyweight. He is as aggressive in the ring as a young Mike Tyson. So why has no one heard of him?
In 2001, Valero was involved in a motorcycle accident and was not wearing a helmet. He signed with Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy promotions in 2004 and his career seemed to be on the upswing. In January of that year, he failed an MRI in New York. Subsequently, he has been banned from fighting in the United States until his brain scans show up with no irregularities. Valero was treated by a Venezuelan Doctor and has fought most of his fights in Japan. He is looking to fight boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao.
