It wasn't clear whether Nebraska would be able to compete with a team like South Carolina. The good news for the Huskers was that they found that they could physically for most of the day. The bad news was that they still came up well short due to a lot of sloppy play. Critical plays at critical times doomed Nebraska.

In case you missed it yesterday the Capital One Bowl went something like this: "Damn." Nebraska, probably the fourth best team in the Big Ten, didn't get pounded by (probably) the fourth best team in the SEC. That was the good news. The bad news was that the Huskers decided to chain smoke exploding cigars in the second half, winding up with more penalty yards than offense...
