He's baaaack! Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley had been one of the Crimson Tide players of the week, as selected by the coaching staff, in Bama's first six games. In a win over Tennessee in which he was the leading tackler and had a pass interception to set up a touchdown, he was not a player of the game. After the Tide's win over Mississippi State, however, Mosley is once again recognized.

Wikipedia’s page for The University of Alabama may not be accurate

The Wikipedia entry for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team appears to have some technical inaccuracies. It talks about Paul “Bear” Bryant and their Heisman winner Mark Ingram. The part that seems technically inaccurate is as follows: Recently, the Alabama Crimson Tide made history again, by becoming the first college football program to win both a BCS National Championship...

Jones Says Tide Has Work Cut Out

It may be hard to believe, but even as Alabama continues as the nation’s number one college football team, some Crimson Tide fans are grumbling. Barrett Jones has heard the complaints. Never mind that Alabama is averaging over 214 yards per game rushing, some Tide fans don't like where the rushing is done: up the middle.

Bama, LSU hoping 7 will be lucky number this time

Maybe the force-field that has shielded the end zone the past two times Alabama and LSU have tangled won't be quite so powerful Saturday night. The top-ranked Crimson Tide and No. 5 Tigers smacked into it in last season's two meetings at various points on the field, crossing the goal line only once between them. Alabama especially has been forced to attempt a cascade of...

Releford leads dangerous Alabama team looking to make noise

(Credit: Alabama Athletic Photography) Alabama’s basketball team should find plenty of motivation in last week’s SEC basketball poll that saw the Tide picked to finish sixth in the league. Defending champion Kentucky was selected first. Florida was predicted to finish second, followed by new league member Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas and Alabama. The rest of the pecking order...

Warmack Earns SEC Lineman Of Week

Alabama has outstanding performances by a number of players each week, which is why the Crimson Tide has an 8-0 record and is ranked number one in the nation. The Southeastern Conference, though, must spread the honors around, so all worthy Bama players can't be honored by the conference each week.

Key SEC Match Is Nation’s Top Game

Following Alabama’s 38-7 win over previously undefeated Mississippi State Saturday, the Crimson Tide held on to its top spot in all major polls. Bama is first in the Associated Press, USA Today, and Harris polls. The AP and Harris polls are components of the BCS Rankings, to be released later.

Sims set for Tigers/Tide

Ouachita junior WR Cameron Sims is being recruited by both LSU and Alabama, and the 6-4, 195-pound playmaker will be in attendance Saturday when the Tigers and Crimson Tide lock horns in Baton Rouge.

Alabama No. 1 in BCS for third straight week

After beating Mississippi State 38-7 Saturday, the Crimson Tide is still on top of the BCS standings. However, there was a bit of a shakeup among the rest of the Top 10.

Discover Fan Loyalty Poll: Alabama Will Remain No. 1, But Other Top Teams Tumble

The Discover Fan Loyalty Poll released the most recent results of who college football fans believe is the best team in the country and, once again, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the overwhelming No. 1 team. After another blowout victory against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, the Tide continue to roll atop the fans’ standings. But while the news will be good for Alabama, three...

Alabama dominates Mississippi State 38-7

Another week, another lopsided victory for the No. 1 Crimson Tide. Despite the hype leading up to this game, the No. 11 Bulldogs were simply no match for the nation's best team.
