The race for best sports-themed Halloween costume (if there's such a thing, right?) is over before it even really began. Proving once again that SEC fans aren't fans but fanatics, we get Toddler Dooley, who blew up the Internet this week when his photo was posted on Twitter.
Who knows, this costume might even surpass the sensational Baby Mangino get-up from 2008 that spoofed the rotund former Kansas coach Mark Mangino.
Nashville radio host Clay Travis reported on his blog, OutkickTheCoverage.com, that the kid dressed up as youthful Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley has the middle name of Neyland. Surely that wasn't done as homage to Robert Neyland, the Vols' all-time winningest coach, right?
Here's how Toddler Dooley's mom, Courtney, says she created the winner: "I Rit-dyed some of his khaki pants and found an iron-on T logo. I ordered a Superman black vinyl wig, and borrowed my husband's Xbox controller. I attached the controller to a little radio to clip onto his belt."
