The top 10 highest paid coaches in college football are listed below according to a report by USA Today. The SEC has the largest number of coaches in the top 10 with four; the Big Ten is next up with three in the top 10. Expect coaches' salaries to continue to rise at a disproportionate amount to rest of society. The TV rights for the College Football Playoff in 2014 is for $470 million annually and $5.64 billion for the full length of the 12-year deal. Last season's USA Today report showed that coaches' pay even outpaced that of corporate executives. The competition and money in the sport will keep escalating salaries. New to the top 10 of the highest paid coaches are Bret Bielema (Arkansas), Brady Hoke (Michigan), Butch Jones (Tennessee), and Charlie Strong (Louisville). According to the report, the total pay for coaches include university and non-university compensation; some private and exempt schools did not disclose their pay records.
