The Indiana Hoosiers took on the Northwestern Wildcats today. The Wildcats beat the Hoosiers 20-17, despite Indiana’s quarterback, Ben Chappell, leading The Big Ten in passing yards. Chappell has thrown for over 2,445 yards this season. His hard work and determination were not enough to secure the Hoosiers a win today.
The Hoosiers’ Mitch Ewald, kicked a field goal to score the only points in the first quarter. At the beginning of the second quarter, the Wildcats answered with a touchdown. With a minute left in the first half is where things really got interesting. Northwestern had been playing their standard conservative defense, which allowed Indiana to slowly but surely make their way down the field. With 48 seconds left, Chappell rushed for five yards and ran the ball himself to secure a touchdown for the Hoosiers.
