UCLA Twitter is a real thing, and the Internet Bruins were in full-force on Thursday night, as the first day of the 2013 NFL Draft took place.. Quick recap: Datone Jones was drafted No. 25 to the Green Bay Packers, while former Heisman favorite and future reality TV star, Matt Barkley, will be relegated to the second round. Those strings of events were the only thing that UCLA twitter needed to get live. Let's look at some of the best tweets (including mine, but I count these based off of the number of retweets, I SWEAR). First, the tweet of the day:   .@mattbarkley NFL draft. #usc twitter.com/GarciaJason/st… — Jason (@GarciaJason) April 26, 2013 Matt Barkley was Barr'd from entering the first round of the NFL draft. — Carlos Sandoval (@carlosatUCLA) April 26, 2013 Throwback Thursday! @carlosatucla twitter.com/12thbruin/stat… — 12th Bruin (@12thbruin) April 26, 2013 So Barkley went from top 10 pick a year ago to letting a former Karl Dorrell recruit get drafted before him. Oh the lulz. — Gary Golden, Jr. (@firstto100) April 26, 2013 Datone Jones got selected before any USC Trojan. #unfinishedbusiness — Carlos Sandoval (@carlosatUCLA) April 26, 2013 Laughing so hard I don't want to live anymore. RT @sportsbrewery MERT BERKLEY twitter.com/SportsBrewery/… — Josh Damis (@jdamis) April 26, 2013 UCLA assistant coach Steve Broussard chimed in, too: A #Bruin drafted before a Trojan????? When was the last time that happened!?? — steve broussard (@SbroussardSteve) April 26, 2013 Lmao #DEAD RT @dufresnelatimes: Watching #NFLDRAFT and wondering: Did NCAA put USC on draft probation? — Nelly Bee (@PrttyNellz) April 26, 2013 Sorry @mattbarkley, it's gonna be a long couple days for you. )-: — Bruin Country™ (@UCLA_Nation) April 26, 2013 Safe to say that life is pretty great if you're a UCLA fan.
