Johnathan Franklin had a huge day (28 carries, 160 yards and 2 touchdowns) as the UCLA Bruins beat USC in the battle of LA. After scoring the final touchdown for UCLA, Franklin, rightfully so, was given an excessive celebration for his throat slash gesture.

Yesterday UCLA won the battle of Los Angeles as they handed it to Matt Barkley and former preseason number one USC (let that marinade for a second). Jonathan Franklin sealed the deal with this sweet TD run followed by a throat slash. Gus Johnson caps it all off with a call of “U-C-L-A” as Franklin gives the gesture.
The throat slash is one of my favorite “post play” gestures...

The NCAA has officially reinstated UCLA Bruins shooting guard Shabazz Muhammad after they heard an appeal from the university on Friday, according to the Associated Press.
Muhammad was ineligible after the NCAA did an investigation and found out that the freshman was receiving impermissible benefits by traveling and lodging when he made his visits...
