McDonald made Trojans’ fans very happy when they announced they’d return for another season of USC football, but a few of the players from the 2011 roster won’t be coming back this year. Juniors Matt Kalil and Nick Perry announced in December that they would enter the NFL draft in April. Kalil is projected to be a top-five pick at left tackle, and Perry, a defensive end, could go as high as the first round. It was no surprise that either of them planned to leave for the pros (it was more surprising Barkley decided to stay), but some other offseason departures were a little more unexpected.
