Vanderbilt Commodores defensive lineman Jared Morse accidentally tackled his teammate during an interception return in the third quarter of the Music City Bowl on New Year's Eve. Vandy cornerback Trey Wilson intercepted the pass thrown by NC State quarterback Mike Glennon in the end zone and returned it 65 yards. Unfortunately, Morse ran right into Wilson's path, and Wilson could not avoid colliding with Morse and immediately went down. As it happened near the Vandy sideline, Morse immediately got an earful from one of the assistant coaches. Vandy scored a field goal on the ensuing drive on the way to a 38-24 victory.
