Alshon Jeffery is one of the best wideouts in college football. However, he’s had a quiet season due to some quarterback turmoil in South Carolina. Jeffery has made his presence felt during the Outback Bowl though. Jeffery has over 100 yards at half and has one amazing touchdown catch. Connor Shaw threw a prayer up right before half and Jeffery answered it. He skied up for an amazing catch and managed to dive into the end zone to put the Gamecocks up 16-13 over Nebraska at half. Jeffery will be a first round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The only question is whether he or Justin Blackmon will be the first wideout taken.

Alshon Jeffery shows up to answer Gamecocks’ Hail Mary prayer, then gets tossed

Given the preseason hype, it's been a relatively quiet year for freakish South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffery: Coming into today's Capital One Bowl tilt with Nebraska, his junior campaign had yielded just 45 catches for 614 yards, less than half his output en route to All-America honors in 2010.
