Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III beat out Stanford’s Andrew Luck for the Heisman Trophy while wearing Superman socks.
That’s right; Griffin received 405 first-place votes and 1,687 points to take home the trophy while making a fashion statement.
He showed off the socks during the Heisman broadcast. The socks featured the Superman logo and even a cape.
Griffin put up Superman-like stats this season, completing 72 percent of his passes for 3,998 yards with 36 touchdown passes and a nation-leading 192.3 efficiency rating.
Griffin helped lift Baylor to No. 12 in the BCS rankings. Baylor takes on Washington in the Alamo Bowl Dec. 29.
