The Oklahoma Sooners have come out tonight and shocked the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. OU entered the game as more than a two touchdown underdog, but is playing extremely well and finds itself ahead 31-17 at halftime. The Sooners extended their lead to 14 points right before the midway point with an impressive 13-yard touchdown run by Sterling Shepard. Even better than Shepard’s run, however, was his celebration — he pulled out Cam Newton’s ‘Superman’ touchdown dance. Of course, Alabama’s only loss of the season was to the Tigers, who Newton proudly represents. The celebration was misinterpreted by the refs as a throat slash, and Shepard was penalized after the play — here’s video via Bleacher Report’s Justin Lee:
