Dr. Saturday:
Pam Ward's place as college football's most gaffe-prone and least aurally pleasing booth presence (my mom, seconds after encountering Ward in Saturday's Little Caesars Pizza Bowl: "I cannot stand to listen to this woman's voice") was secure long ago. Add to that a total disregard for the well-being of an injured player -- in this case, Marshall's Vinny Curry -- when she thinks the broadcast has cut away to a studio update, and I'd say the official verdict is just about in on ESPN's Pam Ward experiment:
If Ward can implore Marshall's training staff to hurry an injured player off the field, we can implore ESPN to hurry her off the air. I know that's a long line, but come on. Sometimes the cause compels many voices.
