Chalk up another victory up for the little guys. One week after Louisiana Monroe upset heavily favored #8 Arkansas in overtime (31-28), their Sun Belt Conference brethren knocked off another Southeastern Conference opponent this week as well. Watch as Western Kentucky quarterback Kawaun Jakes laterals the ball to tailback Antonio Andrews, who then whips the pigskin back across the field to Jakes who then walks into the end zone for the game-winning score over host Kentucky, 32-31. Had the ballsy attempt failed, WKU would have made their way back to Bowling Green in bitter defeat. It was a gutsy call by Hilltoppers head coach Willie Taggart, and a good one at that. The loss for Kentucky is a brutal blow to the future of head coach Joker Phillips, who was already facing tremendous heat from the fan base after losing to arch rival Louisville in the opening game of the season. The third-year coach doesn't look like he's going to receive a fourth.
