The National Football Post reported today that Vikings officials were expected to put Washington quarterback Jake Locker through a private workout Tuesday, according to an NFL source. Vikings vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman said the team will conduct a number of private workouts with quarterback prospects before the draft. Private workouts allow a team to spend an entire day with the player. That includes doing film work, spending time off the field as well as putting the quarterback through specific passing drills. Locker's draft stock has been all over the place in the past year and it's unclear if the Vikings will think enough of Locker to select him with the No. 12 overall pick.
