FSU and Virginia lacked offense and excitement for most of the game Saturday night. They made up for it in the final 1:45 of the game – in a wild scurry of affairs. FSU had the ball on 3rd-and-11 at the Virginia 30 yard line with right at three minutes remaining in the ball game – well within Dustin Hopkins range. E.J Manuel – who was off all night long – took an inexplicable sack, losing 14 yards in the process, forcing the Seminole to punt. Virginia, had only one successful drive all night versus the Florida State defense. It was an 11 play 82 yard touchdown drive in the second quarter. Beyond that, Virginia had punted the ball eight other times.
