According to the latest reports, Virginia Cavaliers junior quarterback Micheal Rocco was granted his release from the team Saturday morning. Rocco has spent the last three seasons with the Cavaliers, but 2012 was one of his most difficult seasons he had to bare with as he had to split time with sophomore quarterback Phillip Sims, who will now be heading into next season as the team’s new starting QB. For his career at Virginia, Rocco threw for over 4,000 yards and for a total of 27 touchdowns. He was picked off 24 times. He still has one more season of college eligibility left, as he looks to transfer. Original article: Virginia Quarterback Michael Rocco Leaving Team©2012 FootBasket.
