Virginia Tech will be sporting a helmet decal honoring the victims of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Ct. along with the victims of the 2007 shootings on the Virginia Tech campus for the Russell Athletic Bowl on Dec. 28. The decal is half-orange (one of VT's school colors), and half-green (one of Sandy Hook's school colors). The number 58 on the decal represents the combined number of victims of the two schools. The word "prevail" is wrtitten across the number 58, The decal will appear on the back of Virginia Tech's helmets (not the side as shown in the above picture) word during the Hokies' matchup against Rutgers in the Russell Athletic Bowl (the old Champs Sports Bowl) in Orlando, Fl.
